EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Social Action Coalition will be holding a Plea for Peace gathering from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, on the campus mall.
SAC will seek to educate students, faculty and staff on the recent terrorist attacks and why international students should not be targets for hate crimes. Information about the differences between the Islam religion and the Taliban beliefs will be handed out.
SAC is a cooperative network of progressive campus organizations and students that works for global awareness and local action concerning human rights, equality, marginalized issues and the environment.
