EAU CLAIRE — The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the
following musical performance the week beginning Monday, Sept. 17. The event is
free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 18:
- Soprano Annelies Slack, a graduate student from Park Falls,
will perform a recital at 5 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts
Center. Dr. Beverly Soll, special events coordinator, will provide accompaniment
on the piano. Six works will be performed beginning with Guiseppe Verdi’s
“Deh, pietoso, oh Addolorata.” Other selections include Kurt Weill’s
“Lonely House” and “What Good Would the Moon Be?” from the opera Street
Scene, and classical Spanish songs by Fernando Obradors.
