EAU CLAIRE — The Established
and Emerging Leaders Seminars, running Oct. 3 to Nov. 14 at the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire, provide students with an opportunity to develop and
strengthen their leadership skills.
Each seven-session seminar program helps students grow as
individuals and as part of a group. The sessions involve lecture, discussion and
activities.
The Emerging Leaders Seminar, for students who are unsure
of their leadership skills, will meet Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the
Alumni Room of Davies Center. Session topics include team building, developing a
wellness lifestyle, stress management, personal mission statements and goal
setting, team development and teamwork exercises on the Eagles View Challenge
Ropes Course.
The Established Leaders Seminar, for students who want to
enhance their leadership skills, will meet Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the
Alumni Room of Davies Center. Session topics include team building, fishing for
the right attitude, frameworks for making ethical decisions, creating a
leadership library, conflict management and teamwork exercises on the Eagles
View Challenge Ropes Course.
Enrollment is open to all UW-Eau Claire students and is
limited to 25 people per program. Applications are available at the Student
Organizations Complex, Davies Center 132, and should be returned no later than
4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26. A $10 fee to cover the cost of resources is
payable upon acceptance to the program.
The Established and Emerging Leaders Seminar is presented
by the Activities and Programs office.
