EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire art department will sponsor a trip to see Van Gogh and Gauguin: The Studio of the South Oct. 18-21 at the Art Institute of Chicago. Tickets will sell quickly since this is the only U.S. exhibition of this show.
Participants will stay at the convenient Cass Hotel in the Rivernorth District of downtown Chicago. Tickets are $175 per person for quad-occupancy rooms or $230 per person for double-occupancy rooms. Price includes round-trip motor coach transportation, three nights lodging and entry fee to the Chicago Art Institute and the Van Gogh exhibition.
Art department faculty will provide recommendations for a variety of other things to see and do in Chicago, including visits to the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Terra Museum of American Art. The return trip will include a stop at the Milwaukee Art Museum to see an exhibition by world-famous glass artist Dale Chilhuly.
This trip is open to UW-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff, as well as community members.
