EAU CLAIRE — The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire will offer aspiring artists the chance to learn more about
watercolor painting in a four-day workshop, “Watercolor Techniques and
Composition,” from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Aug. 6-9, in the Haas Fine Arts
Center.
Kim Falk, a watercolor artist, will instruct beginning
and intermediate participants in basic watercolor techniques and new ways of
painting. Composition and design elements will be stressed.
Cost is $200 plus supplies. For an additional fee one
undergraduate or graduate credit is available. Registration deadline is July 27.
Falk received her bachelor’s degree in art and
master’s degree in media from UW-Stout. She has studied with nationally known
watercolor artists Bridget Austin, Rose Edin and Karlyn Holman. Her studio,
Kim’s Valley Arts, is located in rural Colfax.
