Foot, Nail Care Program
To Be Held June 28-29 |

EAU CLAIRE—The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will present “Foot and Nail
Care: Education for Nurses” at the UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing.
The program will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday,
June 28, and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 29.
Providing foundational information about foot and nail
care, the program will address patient teaching activities, identification and
treatment of selected conditions of the skin and nails, and foot and nail care
and management. The second day will include clinical practice.
Tara Beuscher, a nationally certified gerontological
clinical nurse specialist with Howard Young Clinic, Woodruff, will present the
program.
Cost for the program is $280, which includes two lunches,
refreshments, a manual, instruction and supervised practice. Participants may
earn 14.1 continuing education contact hours.
Participants should have validation of a negative
tuberculosis skin test, be current in immunizations and have a registered nurse
license.
Registration deadline is June 13, and enrollment is
limited to 20.
