EAU CLAIRE—The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will present a program titled
“Targeting Tardive Dyskinesia: Clinical Assessment Techniques” from 9 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing.
The program, which addresses the needs of nurses,
psychologists, social workers and administrators, will provide participants with
the tools to monitor tardive dyskinesia, a neuromuscular disease associated with
long-term use of certain tranquilizers.
John E. Kalachnik, private consultant with the University
of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, S.C., will present the program.
Cost for the program is $95, which includes instructional
materials, refreshments and lunch. Participants may earn six continuing
education contact hours.
Registration deadline is May 23.
