EAU CLAIRE—The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire will hold its annual Clearwater Jazz Camp, for middle and
high school students, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4-8, in the Haas Fine Arts
Center.
The faculty is made up of UW-Eau Claire jazz students
with extensive experience as jazz educators and performers. Their diverse
performing backgrounds range from local performances to professional experiences
with the Supremes, The Jimmy Dorsey Band and an appearance at Carnegie Hall.
The curriculum includes jazz theory, improvisation, jazz
history, master classes and Big Band rehearsal.
Tuition is $100, which includes all instructional fees
and materials. A meal plan can be purchased for an additional $24.75.
Enrollment is limited for each instrument. To guarantee
participation, registrants must send at least $50 with their registration form
no later than May 18th.
