EAU CLAIRE —The University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will present "Proving the
Value of Nursing in Managed Care" from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 23,
at the Holiday Inn Campus Area, Eau Claire.
The program will explore the business side of nursing in
managed care. Topics will include a population-based approach to managing
chronic illness, emerging roles for nurses in disease management, ethics,
confidentiality and strategic partnerships.
Dr. Kathleen Valentine, administrator for business and
community health services, Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield, will present the
program.
Cost for the course is $95, which includes instructional
materials, refreshments and lunch. Participants may earn six continuing
education contact hours.
Registration deadline is May 8.
