EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will present a program titled
"Technology Update for Nurses Outside the Acute Care Setting" from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing.
The program will help nurses in nursing home, home care, school and other community settings review and update their technical skills. Participants will be able to practice basic and advanced intravenous skills and tube feedings.
The following individuals will present the program: Wendy Erickson, a registered nurse with Nutritional Support Services, Luther Midelfort-Mayo Health System; Dr. CeCelia Zorn, UW-Eau Claire professor of nursing systems; and Julie Hanson, UW-Eau Claire clinical instructor of nursing systems.
Cost for the course is $85, which includes instructional materials, refreshments and lunch. Participants may earn six continuing education hours, and the program organizer has applied for Department of Public Instruction clock hours.
Registration deadline is April 24.
