EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Public Safety office, Children’s Center and Chippewa Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition will cosponsor a child car seat check from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 24. The free event will take place in the parking lot behind the Children’s Center and Zorn Arena.
          Child passenger safety seat technicians, who are certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, will inspect car seats in vehicles and educate adults who transport children on the correct installation and usage of car seats. Information on child safety issues also will be distributed.
          The Chippewa Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition is a nonprofit organization that promotes the safety of children.
