EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire again will host the National Youth Sports Program this summer on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
The free summer camp will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 6-July 13 under the instruction of the Office of University Recreation. There will be no camp July 4-6.
The program, in its 21st year, is designed for boys and girls ages 10 to 16. Scheduled activities include basketball, softball, tennis, football, soccer, swimming, track and field, aerobics and a challenging ropes course. Also included is an educational component, which provides information on drugs and alcohol, health and nutrition, higher education, and math and science.
Children who live in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls area are eligible to participate in the program. Registration begins Monday, April 2.
