The Black and Latino Student Association will address race relations and issues during a forum at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in Towers Hall TV Lounge. The group will present the documentary film Color of Fear followed by a discussion.
Richard Davis, UW-Madison professor of music and founder of the Retention Action Program, and Will Clifton, UW-Madison Leadership Institute facilitator, will facilitate the forum.
Our association would like to bring together all races on and off campus, said junior Regena Floyd, vice president of the BLSA. We want to reach out to the community and university students, employees and faculty.
In Color of Fear, eight men of different ethnicities discuss the state of race relations in America. The 90-minute film is directed by Lee Mun Wah.
Refreshments will be served during the free forum. -30- BW
