EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will present Facing the Challenge to Enhance Nursing Home Quality of Care Wednesday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Campus Area, Eau Claire.
The program will familiarize participants with established clinical guidelines and the best practice models for enhancing the quality of care delivered to nursing home residents. Particular attention will be given to the more common health concerns, such as hydration, nutrition and incontinence. Quality improvement programming with specific and practical approaches also will be addressed along with reviewing quality indicator development.
Dr. Mary Zwygart-Stauffacher, professor of nursing systems and geriatric nurse practitioner, will present the program.
The cost for the program is $85, which includes instructional materials, refreshments and lunch. Participants may earn six continuing education contact hours.
Registration deadline is April 3.
