EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will feature scholarship recipients in a concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Sophomore pianist Phillip Dorn, Clintonville, will begin the concert with Johannes Brahms Rhapsodie in G minor, Op. 79, No. 2. Soprano Amanda DePons, a freshman from New Berlin, will sing Les Filles de Cadix by Leo Delibes, and senior Ondra Williams, Clinton, will provide accompaniment. Junior clarinetist Angela Nies, De Pere, will perform Andre Messagers Solo de Concours accompanied by sophomore Andrei Strizek, Sun Prairie.
Sophomore pianist Matthew Steinbron, Eagan, Minn., will perform Sergei Rachmaninoffs Prelude in B minor, Op. 32, No. 10.
Cellist Loni Schiel, a junior from New Berlin, will perform Gabriel Faurés Elégie, Op. 24, accompanied by senior Amanda Johnson, Marinette.
Sophomore marimbist Daniel Marrs, Andover, Minn., will perform Marimba Spiritual assisted by taiko drummers juniors Tim Doleysh, Appleton, and Eric Becker, Hartford, and sophomore Matt Edlund, Sun Prairie. -30- SL/BW
