EAU CLAIRE The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, March 26. All events are free and open to the public.
MONDAY, March 26:
- Guest artists Velvet Brown, tubist, and Robert Arioso, pianist, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. They will perform various works, including Henri Tomasi's "Danse Sacree," Anthony Plog's "Three Miniatures" and Libby Larsen's "Concert Piece." Brown is a professor of tuba and euphonium at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, and has a professional career as an international recording artist, conductor and orchestral player. Arioso is a chamber pianist and soloist who has performed throughout the world, making his first appearances in the United States this year.
