EAU CLAIRE
A six-week course on fly fishing will be offered by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire department of kinesiology and Continuing Education, Human Sciences and Services.
The Basics of Fly Fishing will meet from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays April 5, 19 and 26 and May 3, 10 and 17. The first class will meet in 210B McPhee Physical Education Center, while, weather permitting, the class will travel to Lowes Creek or Carson parks for some sessions.
The course will introduce students to the basic components of fly fishing, assist students in mastering the art and skill of fly fishing, help students develop an appreciation for the natural environment and further its stewardship, and acquaint students with the literature and history of fly fishing.
The class, which will be taught by Don Wisner, costs $137.48 for one undergraduate credit or $234.08 for one graduate credit; the course is not available for audit.
