EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire India Abroad Association will host a fund-raising dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, in the Tamarack Room of Davies Center.
          The dinner, consisting of authentic Indian cuisine, will raise funds to benefit the victims of the Jan. 26 earthquake in Gujarat, India. An estimated 17,000 people were killed and another 150,000 are injured or missing. There is an urgent need to provide temporary shelter, food, medicine, clothing and safe drinking water for the people in this area. All proceeds will be donated to The American Red Cross.
          The cost of the dinner is $20 per person; however, participants are welcome to contribute more. Tickets, available at the Center for International Education, Schofield 111, will be on sale through March 2.
