EAU CLAIRE
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education and the English department will offer a seven-week course titled Television and Film Script Writing. The class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 6-April 24 (excluding March 20) in the UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education building, 210 Water St.
The course will stress the practical realities of writing for the film and television industry and will cover such topics as saleable ideas, structure, character and dialogue writing, and format.
Dr. Wil Denson, UW-Eau Claire professor emeritus of music and theatre arts, will teach the course. Denson, who taught at the university level for 33 years, has written more than 20 plays, television scripts and films. Eight of his plays have been published and 19 have been produced throughout the United States and in many English-speaking countries.
Cost of the course is $137.48 for one undergraduate credit, $234.08 for one graduate credit or $58.73 for one undergraduate audit credit.
