EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has announced that the 27th annual Viennese Ball is sold out. Tickets and returned orders will be mailed shortly.
          The largest social event hosted annually by the university, the Viennese Ball will be presented Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21, from 6:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. in Davies Center. Proceeds provide music scholarships and international study awards for deserving UW-Eau Claire students.
          “As always, we appreciate the tremendous public response to this wonderful event,” said Dr. Beverly Soll, executive director of the ball. “Even by adding an extra night, which can’t be done because of time constraints, we still would not be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to attend. This is, in a sense, quite a wonderful problem to have for a fund-raising event, and we trust that our prospective patrons will understand the dilemma and will try again next year.”
