Healing Touch will be the topic of a program presented by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing in partnership with the Colorado Center for Healing Touch Feb. 23-25 at the UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing.
The program targets those who seek an in-depth understanding of healing work using energy-based concepts. It also is a course of study toward a certificate of completion in Healing Touch, which incorporates a variety of basic to advanced healing modalities. There are four levels that allow participants to progress from beginner to advanced practitioner, expert and instructor.
Dr. Nola Schmitt, associate professor of family health nursing and certified Healing Touch practitioner, will present Level I. Judy Turner, program coordinator for the Colorado Center for Healing Touch and certified Healing Touch practitioner and instructor, will present Level IIA.
The class will meet from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25. The fee for the class is $225 for the general public, $200 for Healing Touch International and American Holistic Nurses Association members, or $125 for full-time students and those repeating the class. Participants may earn 20 continuing education contact hours.
The registration deadline is Feb. 8.
