The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Parking and Transportation Services office has announced its parking regulations for the winter break, which runs from Dec. 26 through Jan. 19.
Beginning Jan. 2, parking permits will be required for motorists to park in the Hibbard, Phillips and Murray lots. Permits will be required for parking rows marked F and GF in Hibbard, for rows marked GF in Phillips and for rows marked F in Murray. Unless posted at the parking lot entrance, other parking spots are available without a permit.
All other parking regulations including all parking meters, no parking and loading zones, 15-minute parking, handicap areas, and head-into-stalls requirements will be enforced.
The citys normal bus service to UW-Eau Claire will end Dec. 22. The Water Street route will resume for Winterim classes Jan. 2. Regular spring semester service will begin Jan. 22.
If a vehicle stalls or does not start in a university lot, the motorist must contact the UW-Eau Claires Public Safety office so a disabled vehicle tag can be placed on the vehicle. If a vehicle does not have an orange disabled tag issued by Public Safety, it will be ticketed.
The Parking and Transportation Services office will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and 15. The normal operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be in effect during the rest of the break.
