EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Office of Public Safety and Police responded Sunday afternoon to a report of a sexual assault of a Murray Hall resident.
          Public Safety Director David Backstrom said the report came in at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22. Backstrom said officers went to the woman's residence in Murray Hall and transported her to Sacred Heart Hospital for a sexual assault screening. After the screening was completed, the woman was released.
          Police are continuing the investigation. Backstrom urges anyone with information that might aid this investigation to contact the Office of Public Safety and Police, 836-2222.
