EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's chapter of Phi Sigma Phi will seek new or used blanket donations in its fifth annual "Blanket the Valley."
          The event will be held from noon Friday, Oct. 27, through noon Saturday, Oct. 28, on UW-Eau Claire's Central Campus Mall.
          For the 24 hours of the event, members of Phi Sigma Phi will illustrate the plight of the homeless by taking shifts staying in a tent, donated by the U.S. Army Reserve, on the Central Campus Mall.
          Each year, "Blanket the Valley" collects more than 500 blankets, which are distributed by the Salvation Army.
