EAU CLAIRE
In an effort to showcase three business labs, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's College of Business will host a Technology Open House from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, in Schneider Hall.
Students and faculty will demonstrate the hardware and software capabilities of the three following labs:
- Cargill Business Telecommunications Lab, Room 203 Schneider Hall, provides instructional support in network configuration, network administration, network trouble shooting, and the intricacies of building a scalable infrastructure for business. No other business school in the Midwest currently provides students with these experiences.
- Cargill Technology Center, Room 204 Schneider Hall, showcases the latest groupware and application development tools. Business students use the center for business case analysis, survey design, new business idea generation, business planning, and systems development.
- Susan K. Tietz/McDonough Manufacturing Company Business Communication Lab, Room 216 Schneider Hall, enables students to use the latest technologies to prepare and deliver oral presentations in a simulated business environment.
Demonstrations begin in each room at 1:30 p.m. and will be repeated at 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to visit one or more of the demonstrations as their schedules permit. Light refreshments will be served.
Free parking during the open house is available in the Fine Arts and Water Street parking lots.
