The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, Nursing will offer a program for nurses titled "Reawakening of the Heart of Nursing: Integrating Holism and Complementary Care In Nursing Practice," which will be held Friday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Best Western Midway Hotel, Eau Claire.
The program was created as a retreat in which nurses and other health professionals can explore and renew their personal connection to the nursing practice. Interwoven through the curriculum are complementary healing modalities presented with the intention of assisting participants in gaining practical and experiential knowledge in the integration of these skills.
Pam Gavrill, a registered nurse and instructor for Seeds and Bridges, Center for Holistic Nursing Education in Amherst, Mass., will present the program, which costs $85, including instructional materials, lunch and refreshments. Participants may earn six continuing education contact hours.
The registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 9, and enrollment is limited. Call (715) 836-5745 for more information or to register.
