A program geared toward adults looking for a regular, supervised exercise program will begin its third year Monday, Sept. 25, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The Community Fitness Program targets individuals not currently exercising, as well as those who have finished cardiac rehabilitation programs at local hospitals but are not exercising independently. Couples are also welcome.
The sessions will run from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday through the fall semester on the indoor track in the Olson Addition of McPhee Physical Education Center.
Dr. Don Bredle, assistant professor of kinesiology and athletics, will supervise the program. Sessions will be led by students-in-training.
The program is open to the community, as well as faculty and staff of UW-Eau Claire, and costs $60.
Those interested in the program should contact Bredle at (715) 836-3953 or e-mail him at bredledl@uwec.edu. -30- SF/BW
