A seminar for student leaders will be presented at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire beginning Tuesday, Oct. 3, and ending Wednesday, Dec. 6.
The Leaders Seminar is a seven-session program led by university and community facilitators. Each session involves lecture, discussion and activities. All sessions meet in Davies Center.
The seminar is divided into two programs:
- The Emerging Leaders Seminar (Tuesdays, Oct. 3-Dec. 5, 3:30-5:30 p.m.) develops the skills it takes to become a valuable student leader in a campus organization. Session topics include team building, stress management, teamwork, leadership and team development, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, personal mission statements and goal setting, and a leadership roundtable.
- The Established Leaders Seminar (Wednesdays, Oct. 4-Dec. 6, 3:30-5:30 p.m.) enhances the abilities of students already confident in their leadership skills. Session topics include team building, leadership and conflict management, ethics, servant leadership, international leadership, and a leadership roundtable.
Enrollment is open to all UW-Eau Claire students and is limited to 25 people per program. Applications are available at the Student Organizations Complex, Davies Center 132. Completed applications are due Friday, Sept. 22. There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of resources, which is payable upon acceptance to the program.
