EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performance the week beginning Monday, September 11. The event is free and open to the public.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 17:
- Six UW-Eau Claire alumni will perform a music alumni recital at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The featured alumni include 1992 graduates Troy Birdsong on double bass and Dennis Luginbill, who composed and will direct a work titled "322 Water Street." Additional alumni are 1981 graduates Tom Brown, trumpet, and Leland Bissinger, guitar; 1989 graduate Lori Miller Cruciani, piano; 1995 graduate Steve Kriesel, trumpet; 1979 graduate Michael Sedloff, cello; and 1998 graduate Annelies Slack, soprano. Special events coordinator Beverly Soll, piano, and community members Judy Lies, organ, and Roger Bethard, piano, each will accompany on a piece. The group will perform five works, and the UW-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble I will be featured in the final piece. A reception will follow the concert.
