EAU CLAIRE — A drawing workshop titled "Cartooning for Fun" will be offered Sept. 16 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
          The class will meet from 9 a.m. to noon in the Presidents Room of Davies Center. The workshop, sponsored by UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education, is open to those ages 12 and over. Freelance artist and Eau Claire teacher Cyndee Kaiser will teach the class. Kaiser is known for her murals, which can be seen in area homes, schools and businesses. She also has experience as a book illustrator.
          Class participants will go beyond drawing stick figures by learning how to combine simple shapes to create expressions, body types and movement.
          The fee for the workshop is $20, which includes instruction and materials.
