EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Alumni Association is sponsoring a Chippewa Valley Summer Send Off Picnic Tuesday, Aug. 15, at the Oak Pavilion in Eau Claire's Carson Park. The picnic will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.
          The event is designed to bring new students, continuing students and alumni together to meet and share their experiences with one another. All UW-Eau Claire alumni, students, family and friends are invited to attend. The Chippewa Valley picnic is one of a series of summer send off picnics being sponsored by the Alumni Association around the state.
          The cost of the event is $9 per person. This includes food and drink. For more information or to make a reservation for the event, contact the UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association at (715) 836-3266 or alumni@uwec.edu. Reservations must be received by Monday, Aug. 7.
