EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Educational Opportunity Center will present two career planning programs for Eau Claire area adults thinking about career change and returning to school.
In the first session, Exploring Your Options, offered Tuesday, July 25, participants will complete the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, learn about the local economy and begin to look at how their skills, interests and aspirations might fit with employment opportunities. They also will explore the numerous training options in West Central Wisconsin.
The second session, Making a Decision, will be Thursday, July 27. Participants will explore the results of the MBTI completed in session one, learning about their distinctive thinking styles and how they relate to career choice. They will match up career areas identified in the MBTI with local educational and employment opportunities. Financial aid for adult students also will be discussed in the session.
Both Career Planning for Adults programs are scheduled 6-7:30 p.m. in the Arrowhead Room of Davies Center on the UW-Eau Claire campus. For more information or to sign up for these free programs, call the Educational Opportunity Center at (715) 836-2024. The registration deadline is Monday, July 24. -30- RES
