EAU CLAIRE — Gretchen Hutterli, assistant dean of external affairs for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business, received the Outstanding Public Employee of the Year Award from the Greater Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.
          Each year the Chamber recognizes a public employee for his or her cooperation, open-minded attitude, willingness to learn, demonstration of working to reach employee goals and a willingness to get involved in the community beyond what is required in his or her work activities.
          Bob McCoy, Chamber president, believes that Hutterli was very deserving of the award and is an excellent volunteer with whom he enjoys working.
          "Gretchen is a very special person," McCoy said. "She gives unselfishly of herself and has been a great asset to the Chamber in her committee activities and through our re-accreditation process."
          The award plaque was presented to Hutterli at the Chamber's annual meeting April 18.
