EAU CLAIRE
From beautiful flowing movements to banging on garbage cans, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Concert Dance Company will present its annual spring concert "Danceworks 2000" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, and Friday, May 19, in Gantner Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
"Danceworks 2000" will showcase a wide variety of dance styles, including tap, jazz, modern, ballet, lyrical, African, Latin and STOMP. Dr. Toni Poll-Sorensen professor of kinesiology and athletics and the company's adviser several company members and guest choreographers have created the dances in the performance.
Beginning Wednesday, April 26, tickets will be available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727. Tickets are $7 for the public and UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff and $5 for UW-Eau Claire students, youth age 17 and younger and those age 62 and older.
