EAU CLAIRE — From beautiful flowing movements to banging on garbage cans, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Concert Dance Company will present its annual spring concert "Danceworks 2000" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, and Friday, May 19, in Gantner Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
          "Danceworks 2000" will showcase a wide variety of dance styles, including tap, jazz, modern, ballet, lyrical, African, Latin and STOMP. Dr. Toni Poll-Sorensen — professor of kinesiology and athletics and the company's adviser — several company members and guest choreographers have created the dances in the performance.
          Beginning Wednesday, April 26, tickets will be available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727. Tickets are $7 for the public and UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff and $5 for UW-Eau Claire students, youth age 17 and younger and those age 62 and older.
