EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, April 24. All events are free and open to the public.

TUESDAY, APRIL 25:

  • Senior Terri Jo Songer, Wales, will give a soprano recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The program consists of works by Engelbert Humperdinck and Aaron Copland. Songer also will sing "Morning," which she arranged herself.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26:

  • Juniors Lisa Nicole Wilhelm, Boscobel, and Lisa Renee Butcher, Woodbury, Minn., will give a joint soprano recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Sophomore Andy French, Plymouth, Minn., and senior Brenda Greenwald, Sheboygan, will accompany them on piano. The program consists of 15 works, including two by Argento and three by Schumann.
THURSDAY, APRIL 27:

  • Junior Aric Brian, Eau Claire, and senior Kevin Carlton, West Bend, will give a joint trumpet recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
SUNDAY, APRIL 30:

  • Senior Sara Paar, Verona, will sing soprano for a recital at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Alumna Heather McCornack will provide accompaniment on piano and junior Aimee Paar, Verona, will assist on violin. The program consists of five parts and includes works by Leonard Bernstein and J.S. Bach.
