Nursing Student Awarded
$1,500 Scholarship

EAU CLAIRE —
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire senior Darci Underwood, Highland, recently was awarded a $1,500 scholarship from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. The AACN awards scholarships on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, community involvement and financial need.
Underwood, who plans to graduate in May 2001 with a bachelor's degree in nursing, wants to specialize in emergency room or critical care nursing and plans to return to school to earn a master's degree.
The $1,500 award will be presented to Underwood during the National Student Nurses' Association convention awards ceremony April 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Underwood, a graduate of Highland High School, is the daughter of Bill and Judy Drury.
