The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Educational Opportunity Center will present two Exploring Education workshops for Menomonie area residents interested in career change and returning to school.
The first session, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, will focus on career assessment and exploration of educational options. Participants will learn about their motivations, strengths, potential for growth, skills and task preferences by completing the Self Directed Search and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Information about educational opportunities in the area will be provided.
The second session, scheduled from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, will provide financial aid information. Topics include calculating the cost of an education, how and when to apply for financial aid, and types of financial aid and scholarships available for adult and part-time students.
Both Exploring Education programs will be held at the Dunn County Job Center in Menomonie. For more information and to sign up for one of these free programs, call the Dunn County Job Center at (715) 232-7380 or the EOC at (715) 836-2024. -30- RES
