Public Health Week April 3-9 |
MAILED: March 30, 2000
EAU CLAIRE
Graduate students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will post fliers in campus buildings to inform students about National Public Health Week. Governor Tommy Thompson has proclaimed April 3-9 Public Health Week, and this year Wisconsin's theme is "Public Health Shapes Our World."
Graduate students in the "Community Health Services" class will display brochures, posters and other information about Public Health Week in Davies Center. The students hope to increase awareness of public health issues by providing students with resources to turn to for more information. On-campus activities will deal with issues such as drug, alcohol and tobacco use, sexually transmitted disease prevention and practicing healthy lifestyles through proper diet and exercise.
