EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's University Band will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Dr. Robert R. Bayless, music and theatre arts lecturer, will direct the band. The program will include Gianinni's Overture in B flat, "Americans We" by Fillmore and Barker's "Gershwin" and "Lady of Spain."
University Band also will perform "Hebrides Suite" by Grundman, and this selection will be conducted by senior Gene Power, Apple Valley, Minn.
To end the concert, the university's Wind Symphony, which Bayless also directs, will make a guest appearance and perform Cunningham's "Hymn (Something)" and "The Deathtree" by Holsinger.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, are $3.75 for adults; $2.75 for seniors and children 17 and under; or free for faculty, staff and students with a university ID. -30- LK/BW
