EAU CLAIRE — Individuals may learn basic Spanish skills in a program offered by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Arts and Sciences Continuing Education/UW-Extension.
"Spanish for Work and Travel" will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, March 27-May 3, in Room 314 of Hibbard Humanities Hall.
Participants will learn vocabulary to meet their particular needs, basic greeting and courtesy expressions, how to ask and answer simple but important questions, and how to use the present verb tense.
Josette Migawa, senior lecturer of foreign languages, will instruct the course. Migawa has been teaching for more than 20 years and has spent time in Mexico, Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries.
The $295 program fee covers instruction and materials. Participants may earn 2.4 (24 hours) continuing education units.
