EAU CLAIRE — In honor of Women's History Month, six University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire alumni will read their original poetry and prose at The Cabin. The reading, titled "From the Mouths of 'Babes,'" will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 7.
The participating alumni, whose works have been published in various forms, are Carrie Becker, 1998 graduate; Patti See, 1990 and 1994; Yvette Flaten, 1974 and 1982; Sandy Lindow, 1971 and 1974; Bergine Haakenson, 1982 and 1984; and Norma Desprez, who began working toward her degree in 1939 and graduated in 1981.
There is no admission charge. Refreshments will be sold.
The reading is sponsored by Women in Higher Education, the Women's Studies Program, and NOTA, UW-Eau Claire's creative arts organization.
