Viennese Ball Dance Workshop

A Viennese Ball Dance Workshop at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will help patrons brush up on or develop their ballroom dancing skills before the 26th annual Viennese Ball, scheduled for April 14-15 on campus.
Dr. Ida Hinz, former chair of UW-Eau Claire's department of physical education, and regional dance instructors David and Karen Goggin will conduct the six-session workshop.
Intermediate-level sessions will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and beginner-level sessions will meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Classes will be held in McPhee Center (room 210A on Tuesdays, room 105 on Thursdays) on these dates: Tuesday, March 28; Thursday, March 30; Tuesday, April 4; Thursday, April 6; Tuesday, April 11; and Thursday, April 13.
Instruction will focus on the waltz (slow, medium and fast), fox trot, swing and polka. Up to 50 people may register, alone or with partners, at any skill level.
Registration is $16 per person ($8 for UW System and Chippewa Valley Technical College students) at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727. The workshop is sponsored by the Activities and Programs Office.
