EAU CLAIRE
Sara Hendrix will perform three folk fusion concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire March 2-4. Her shows will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday in The Cabin, Davies Center.
A Nashville-born musician now living in Telluride, Colo., Sara Hendrix began playing music with her jazz-pianist father before she could walk or talk. Her first CD release, "Sliding Reins," premiered in 1996 and sold more than 4,000 copies with no professional promotion or distribution. Her latest effort, "Ghost Stories" (2000), is a solid collection of progressive modern rock songs that showcase her range and songwriting ability. Sara has played with Shawn Colvin, Donovan, The Radiators, and Semisonic, among others.
The shows are free and open to all ages. Proof of age is required for alcohol purchase.
The Cabin program is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW Eau Claire Student Senate. -30- JS/BW
