EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Feb. 28. All events are free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, FEB. 29:
- Senior Terri Jo Songer, Wales, will perform a clarinet concert at 5 p.m. in the Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Lori Cruciani, UW-Eau Claire graduate, will provide accompaniment on the piano and junior Adrian Suarez, Oconomowoc, will play percussion. The performance includes Johannes Brahms' Sonata in E-flat, Op. 120, No. 2, and "Spring" from "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi. "Spring" was arranged by Jorge Calandrelli and transcribed by Songer.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1:
- Senior saxophonist David Strong, Burnsville, Minn., and senior trumpeter Sean Hanson, Duluth, Minn., will perform a joint student recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Community member Judy Lies will accompany on piano. The recital includes Jean Rivier's Concerto for Alto Saxophone, Trumpet and Piano and "Fantaisie" by Francis Thome.
