Ayurvedic Medicine Program

EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education in Nursing office will present a program on ayurvedic medicine Thursday, Feb. 17. The program, which will be held at the UW-Eau Claire School of Nursing, will run from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ayurvedic medicine recommends detoxification treatments, lifestyle modifications and the use of Yoga and meditation to improve one's health.
Dr. Surajit Sengupta, founder and director of the Institute of Healing Studies in Minneapolis, Minn., will present the program. Sengupta is a yoga therapist and president of the World Society of Alternative Medicine. He also has a background in physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, molecular and cellular biology.
The program is free to the public and costs $45 for health care professionals, who will earn three continuing education contact hours. Call the Continuing Education in Nursing office, (715) 836-5745, to register. -30- BW
