The Emerging and Established Leaders Seminars, which run Feb. 15 to April 27 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, provide students an opportunity to develop and strengthen leadership skills.
Each seminar program consists of seven sessions that will help students grow as individuals and as a group. The sessions involve lecture, discussion and activities.
The Emerging Leaders Seminar, which is designed for students who are not confident in their leadership skills, will meet Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Session topics include teamwork, team building, personal mission statements, goal setting, values clarification, time management, customer service, communication and listening.
The Established Leaders Seminar, which is intended for students who want to enhance their leadership skills, will meet Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Session topics include teamwork, teambuilding, servant leadership, innate health and free-flowing thinking, diversity, customer service, international leadership and group dynamics.
Enrollment for each seminar is limited to 25 students. A $10 fee is payable upon acceptance to the program. Students may pick up applications in the Student Organizations Complex, 132 Davies Center, and should return them by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2. Call (715) 836-3855 for more information.
