EAU CLAIRE —
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Nov. 22. All events are free and open to the public.
MONDAY, NOV. 22:
-
Junior Monica K. Allen, Wausau, and senior Yuko Ikenaga, Japan, will perform a joint recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Ikenaga will begin the program on harpsichord and piano for Domenico Scarlatti's Sonatas for Harpsichord, Sonata in A major by W.A. Mozart and Frederic Chopin's "Grande Valse Brilliante." Allen will conclude the program on piano with Haydn's Fantasia in C major, Ballade in F major by Chopin and Vincent Persichetti's Third Piano Sonata.
TUESDAY, NOV. 23:
- Senior Julie Olson, Eau Claire, will present a recital in composition at 5 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Various students will assist to perform her seven-piece program including "Rebirth," featuring a Robert Browning poem, and "Miles to Go Before I Sleep," a Robert Frost poem.
