EAU CLAIRE — Jim Carter, Eleva, has made a gift of $3,589 to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation, adding to a scholarship fund that he had previously established.

Carter created the scholarship in honor of his mother, E. Louise Carter.

Students eligible for the E. Louise Carter Scholarship will be juniors or seniors who are non-traditional in age and returning to school after an interruption in their education. Graduate students also will be eligible. A preference will be given to students who are planning a career in social work or psychology.
