Musical Events For the Week of Oct. 25 |

EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Oct. 25. All events are free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, OCT. 26:
- Senior Kevin Bartig, Wausau, will perform a piano recital at 5 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Bartig will perform J.S. Bach's Toccata in G major, Mozart's Sonata in A minor, Frederic Chopin's Scherzo in B minor, and "Estampes" by Claude Debussy.
THURSDAY, OCT. 28:
- Senior William Olson, Circle Pines, Minn., will perform an alto saxophone recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Community member Leland Kearney will assist Olson on piano. His program includes J. S. Bach's Sonata No. 6 and "Night and Day" by Cole Porter.
SUNDAY, OCT. 31:
- Les Favorites, a period instrument ensemble specializing in the music of the middle and late baroque, will perform at 4 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall. Performers include professor of music Ivar Lunde Jr., baroque oboe; professor of music Nanette Lunde, harpsichord; guest artists Laura Handler, baroque violoncello; and Lucinda Marvin, baroque violin. Dr. Karen Brookens, assistant professor of music, will assist the group as a soprano. The program will include selections from Georg Philipp Telemann, J. S. Bach and Isabella Leonarda.
