EAU CLAIRE — Master hypnotist Jim Wand will present two shows at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Thursday, Oct. 28. His presentations, titled "Travel Beyond Imagination," will begin at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium.
Wand also will present a two-hour seminar, titled "Self-Hypnosis, Relaxation and Study Skills Improvement," at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in Schofield Auditorium.
Over the past 13 consecutive years, more than 1,500 colleges have nominated Wand as one of the top entertainers on the circuit today. He has worked with such personalities as Cheap Trick, Loverboy, Foreigner, Jay Leno, the Chicago Bears, the Seattle Supersonics, George Strait and The Judds, in addition to performing to sell-out audiences wherever he appears.
Wand, who holds a doctorate in psychology from the University of Southern California, is an avid exponent of personal and group motivation. Through his seminars he helps participants maximize their potential in productive sales techniques, effective leadership skills and other areas of self-improvement.
Tickets for the Oct. 28 shows are $5 ($3 with a UW-Eau Claire student ID) at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, and will be sold at the door. Tickets for the Oct. 29 seminar are $10 at the door.
The presentations are sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate and Inter-Fraternity Council.
